Fruit Trees for School

Climate change impact continues to toughen the economy of the vulnerable people living in rural Nigeria. The school pupils are not left out as the lack of basic school infrastructures such as water, sanitary, and fruit trees for food threaten the safety of the children.

RUWAI’s advocacy visit to Oka Primary School revealed the plight of these kids and their teachers who learn and work in a difficult and unsafe. The children are calling for help to fix the school and also plant fruit trees to curb the increasing malnutrition and assault among girl students who go to the bush to search for fruits and nuts to eat during school hours.
